Release Notes for Version 3.5.0.1

Thank you for trusting Aptora Corporation with your business management software. We appreciate your feedback and support. We have been working hard to make this the best software possible. We are proud of our latest version.


Note: This is a schedule board only update. This update does require you to perform a few extra (but simple) steps to get it installed. Why? We replaced the schedule board update system. The new system does not have the ability to remove the old system and that’s the reason for the extra steps.

Once you perform these steps, future updates should work normally. Thank you for your help with this.


How to Perform a Manual Schedule Board Update

Remove the Old Application

  1. Go to Add or Remove Programs
  2. Search for Schedule Board
  3. Uninstall all Schedule Board Applications
  4. Go to the Default Install location from the File Explorer:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Aptora\TOM Enterprise
  5. Delete the Schedule Board Folder if it exists

Add the New Application (Aptora – Total Field Control)

  1. Download the Installer from: https://www.aptora.net/download/get_updates/ScheduleBoard/TotalFieldControlInstaller.msi
  2. Please run the Installer

Enhancements

  1. Added the following fields to the available visible fields for Appointments: Customer, Address, and Phone.
  2. Enhanced the Update process for Schedule Board – this will allow for updates to occur without requiring a Total Office Manager update.

Bug Fixes

  1. Fixed issue with the Quick Filter for Unscheduled Work Orders creating an Error and not reloading the list.
  2. Fixed error that was caused when having the ‘Quick Edit/Notes’ panel open and then attempting to change the selection from a normal work order to a multi-day work order. This error would cause the ‘Quick Edit/Notes’ panel to not properly switch the WO notes to the selected WO.
  3. Resolved issue with requests not being completed when getting the Work Order location from Bing, to display it on the map.
  4. Resolved a background error occurring when the Database returned nothing for the Appointment List.
  5. We have made significant improvements to the internal error handling and reporting system. This system has offered us vital information needed to resolve an ongoing issue with the schedule board closing for no apparent reason. We have also improved the software update installation system. Our beta testing group indicates that this issue is very close to being resolved. We will continue to work on it until we know for sure. Many thanks go out to our beta companies that have supplied us with important information about this bug. We just could not do our jobs without them.
