Mobile Executive Summary Overview
Mobile Executive SummaryTM is a software program that allows you to manage your company more effectively while out in the field or away from the office by delivering vital information to you via text messaging. The Mobile Executive Summary program is designed to gather important daily transactional and/or financial information from Total Office Manager® Enterprise Edition and forward that information to a cell phone, PDA, or other device equipped with text messaging capabilities.
NOTE: Mobile Executive Summary can only be used in conjunction with the Total Office Manager Enterprise Edition accounting program and is not supported by other types of accounting software.

Hardware and Software Requirements
Messaging-capable devices are required for use with this program. There may be extra charges (including charges for long distance, tolls or calls that don’t connect) and higher rates for roaming calls, depending on your provider and plan. Aptora® Corporation does not guarantee that messages will be received and are not responsible for lost or misdirected messages. Text messages cannot exceed 160 characters, including the sender’s callback number and the destination number/e-mail address. Some phone models support a higher character limit and enhanced messaging features which the message recipients may not be able to view if their service provider or phone does not support them. Messages cannot exceed 160 characters, even if your phone supports longer text messages; content beyond the 160th character will not be included in the recorded message. Not all message content may be translatable. Standard messaging charges apply to all messages sent and received via short codes. All messages are subject to Text Messaging terms and conditions.
Aptora® Corporation’s Total Office Manager accounting program is required with use of Mobile Executive Summary. M.E.S. is programmed to work in conjunction with Total Office Manager Enterprise, as it retrieves information that has been entered into the accounting program. The Enterprise edition of Total Office Manager is required for use with this program. The classic version of Total Office Manager is not compatible with this program.
Microsoft® Outlook must be installed on the computer from which the Text Summary Alerts are set and sent for the program to function properly.
You can often get tips about a particular button or control’s function by hovering your mouse (pointer) over it. These are called Tool Tips, and they are found in the Mobile Executive Summary forms.
Data in the Scheduled column can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the column header. The column widths can also be manipulated by hovering over the header names with your cursor, and then clicking and moving the boundary to the desired location after it has turned into a double-sided arrow.
An update may be required if you are experiencing difficulty with the program. To check for updates, select Help > Check for Update from the M.E.S. main menu. Select “Yes” in the dialog box that appears when checking for updates to the software.
A Log of all sent Alerts is available in the M.E.S. program by selecting File > Log from the main menu.
Utilizing Total Office Manager properly is crucial to delivering accurate information via Mobile Executive Summary. Be sure to update records in a timely manner in order to deliver accurate and relevant information via M.E.S.
