This update requires an update to your database. This will require that all users log out of the software program so that the update can run. Once the update has run and the first user logs in, other users will be able to log back into the program in prior versions without being required to update. This update will take anywhere from 15 seconds to 30 minutes depending on the database size.

Very Important Printing Tip

When printing from Total Office Manager, you may experience a longer than expected spinning mouse pointer or the print job hangs.

If no error or yellow screen appears, please try to run the application as administrator. See the tip below.

This small change seems to fix most of the issues with printing, when there is no error displaying.

Permanently Run a Software Program as an Administrator

It is a good idea to run Total Office Manager as an administrator. This one small tip can often correct certain issues many users report.

– Navigate to the program folder of Total Office Manager. This is almost always C:\Program Files (x86)\Aptora\TOM Enterprise.

– Right-click the Total Office Manager program icon. It is named TOM_Enterprise.exe

– Choose Properties.

– On the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program as an administrator option (it’s a check box).

– Click OK.

– If you see a User Account Control prompt, accept it.
