Total Office Manager Update

Release Notes for Version 20.7.2900
Release Date: 7/29/2020 (rolling release – not everyone has this)

Thank you for trusting Aptora Corporation with your business management software. We appreciate your feedback and support.

Database Update

If you are coming from version 20.6.2200, this update does not change your database. If you are coming from any version before 20.6.2200, this update will require all other users to be logged out so that the database can be updated.

Enhancements

  1. We added a vehicle mileage tracking feature on the Assets form. It becomes visible when the Asset Type selection is set to “Vehicles”. When you enter a value in the Odometer field in the Timesheet form, that reading is recorded in the Asset History form. Odometer readings are also collected from certain GPS devices. We removed the ability for users to enter anything but numbers in the Timesheet Odometer field. The Asset form allows you to directly enter a reading (Additional Info tab). This can help you correct false information or catch up to a current reading. The Asset History form includes a new Odometer tab that will allow users to see the history of those readings. Ticket JL190
  2. The Average Cost by Date query was improved to offer more information in related Custom Data Views. Ticket 24650c
  3. We updated the “Do you wish to update the Estimated Cost” message when using the Unit of Measure feature. It now offers a more likely amount. Ticket JL222
  4. When importing a Bill, we now allow more item types. We now allow Serialized, Inventory, Non-Inventory, Service, and Other Charge. Ticket JL262
  5. When importing Bills that include items with a Unit of Measure (UOM), we now ignore a 1 to 1 UOM type. This type is not needed and serves no purpose. Ticket JL263
  6. When importing Bills, we are now only looking at the UOM Alias field. This will improve the reliability of the UOM item import. Ticket JL264
  7. We added the ability to import Vendor Credits. The import menu now says “Bills/Credit”. Ticket JL256
  8. Removed the Import Warning regarding saving to the registry. This was not needed. Ticket JL261
  9. The button color on the Contact Log for the Customer History Form was changed to Cyan.
  10. Additional columns were added to the Bills list. This was an approved feature requested by a user on the new Feature Request system. Ticket 25228
  11. Label changes were made to the Item History form to make the data presented in the header more intuitive when a Unit of Measure item is being viewed. Ticket JL260
  12. Added Department as an optional required field for a customer and sales opportunity. This was an approved feature requested by a user on the new Feature Request system. Ticket JL260
  13. Made changes to selected forms to help release RAM when the form is closed.
  14. Added an option to generate statements with or without grouping.
  15. Added a work order tab to the Item History form. This allows you to see all of the work orders that have used this item. This request was made to James during his webinar on 6/3/20.
  16. We added sophisticated SQL Maintenance scripts to the database. These scripts will perform vital maintenance on your SQL Database. They can be triggered by going to File > Company File Information. SQL Server maintenance is performed each night for our hosted clients. Ticket JL252
  17. We made visual improvements to the Company File form. There is a hyperlink to a help topic that explains more about SQL Database maintenance. Ticket JL252
  18. Additional options were made to the Sales by Sales Rep report. This was paid custom programming. Ticket 23548

Bug Fixes

  1. The Bills Import could create an incorrect Item Cost. Ticket JL264
  2. Fixed an issue that could prevent users from assigning a work order to an invoice or estimate.
  3. Fixed an issue that caused a Go button t be displayed on the SOM list.
  4. A yellow screen error was sometimes presented when entering a work Order. Ticket 25234 and 25264
  5. Inventory Review/Adj is grayed out when Warehouse Assignment by user is off. Ticket 24126
  6. Fixed bug that caused the software to hard crash when opening the Receive Items list. This only happened with the beta testing group and was not public.
  7. Timesheet Earning Preference showing inactive earning items only. Ticket 24393
  8. We discovered the Item Register Rebuild was not functioning in SQL Server 2008 R2. This was resolved. We do not recommend SQL Server 2008. We highly recommend users upgrade to SQL Server 2016. Ticket 24650
