Payroll Earning type Category


Is it possible to create an Earnings Category? I have a lot of Earning Types so the Pay Stub is long and challenging for the employees to understand. If I could categorize the Earning Type and only print the total of each category on the Pay Stub, this would simplify and shorten the lengthy Pay Stub.

The categories could be User Defined with possible flag option to use and/or print on the Pay Stub?

Group by (a few ideas):

Regular Hours
Overtime Hours
PTO Hours
Holiday Hours


Categorizing items with different pay rates: maybe not permit that situation? require separate category for different rates? (I previously utilized an application that would average the rates but it was very confusing for employees so I don’t recommend that option)
Summarizing by Departments: possibly allow for sub-category types?
